Set against the striking Al Hajah Mountains and nestled within the sanctuary of the Al Wadi Nature Reserve, the secluded villa-only desert resort seamlessly blends natural beauty and timeless luxury to create an intimate beach retreat.

The $10m (AED36.7m) refurbishment features 32 luxurious tented villas, each with its own pool and direct beach access, offering comfort and privacy complemented by breath-taking views and indulgent amenities. Guests can choose from two types of villas. The Al Naseem Villas feature local design elements inspired by traditional Bedouin architecture and offer an elevated level of seclusion, while the Al Bahar Villas include open views and private beachfront access.
SOLUTION 

The Ritz-Carlton create experiences so exceptional that long after a guest leaves, the experience stays with them. As a result our offering had to be unobtrusive and inconspicuous whilst still providing the very best in safety and quality.

The XYLUX LD5 was specified which offered a high performance emergency luminaire that had the flexibility to be surface mounted or recessed. THE XYLUX LD5 also has snap-in optical lenses suitable for use in both open-area’s and on escape route providing consistency. Mackwell's standard three hour duration products supplied provide additional time should emergency personnel need to re-enter any area of the resort.

The XYLUX LD5 also contained Mackwell’s SmartCharge™ technology, which applies an intermittent charging duty cycle designed with the NiMH batteries. This provides energy efficient charging maintenance, reduced operating temperatures and optimum service life of NiMH batteries.
