In this role you will be required to administer the day to day running of the IT infrastructure.
Based in Aldridge, West Midlands, Mackwell is one of the leading Emergency Lighting manufacturers, supplying to the UK and worldwide, High-Tech, quality products that are constantly evolving to stay ahead of the competition.
Salary: £20-25K + pension, life insurance, 25 days+ Bank Holidays
Job Functions:
- Administer day to day running of desktop PCs, multiple servers, printers, tablets, laptops for remote workers, LAN and WAN links
- Administer telecom systems; mobile phones, fixed and leased lines, setting up iPads, iPhones and Androids for use.
- Source and administrate Production PC/Router builds and maintain machines once installed on location giving 3rd line support as and when required.
- Respond swiftly to all IT queries and requests from all levels of personnel, making sure Helpdesk tickets are updated.
- To troubleshoot all types of PC / Network problems.
- Deal with hardware / software support, reporting and solving problems in the office.
- Drive and Implement Cloud infrastructure for Mackwell.
- Keep all logs and reports up to date.
- To be pro-active in a programme of Continuous Improvements
- Ensure that you comply with the company’s work practice, disciplinary procedures and Health and Safety policy.
- Carry out other relevant tasks as required ensuring the effective operation of the company.
Required Profile
- Desk top experience preferred
- Strong IT skills – desired experience of Windows/Macs/Office/Servers/Networks
- Confident communicator; liaising with internal / external stake holders
- Self-motivated, resourceful and organised
- To be flexible and adaptable
- To be a team player
- Attention to detail
