Job Functions:
- Day to day support of the Procurement Lead
- Ownership of the M.R.P process
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and own projects
- Owning inter-departmental communication (i.e. Axxounts payable, R&D, Commercial, IT etc..), to address any purchasing needs and clarify issues promptly
- Manage and develop relationships with suppliers and clients, as part of the day-to-day role. Ensure the quality of the goods and promptness of delivery and contractual terms are met
- Oversee supplier related activities and their performance, to ensure they are meeting compliance. Also, coordinate with these companies to resolve any issues that arise
- Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure alignment with contractual obligations and documents
- Interact positively with vendors and suppliers
- Carry out any other task that may be required to assist in the department and efficient and profitable operation of the Company.
- To work within the Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental policies and practices employed by the company.
Skills Required
- Previous procurement / purchasing work experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- High level of organisation
- Ability to learn quickly
- Someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, with a get it done mentality
- High level of expertise in Excel, and comfortable with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to use data sets to extract information quickly
- A-level / Degree level of education
