Quality Technician


We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking quality technician with a good eye for detail. You will primarily be responsible for the control and further development of the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation) process. Duties will include, working with customers / sales managers to understand and meet their expectations, controlling the return of reported faulty product, material movements, fault analysis and repair, Creating RMA reports, capturing associated costs and metrics.

The quality technician will also be responsible for the creation, amendments and revision / release of Manufacturing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).

Additional duties to support the QCI Manger as and when required by performing standardised quality control checks (AQLs) on company products and supplier material to ensure material meets the required specification to company standards for safety and quality. To ensure the business complies to and operates within the scope of BS EN ISO9001:2015 and BS EN ISO14001:2015 standards.

To ensure success as a quality technician, you should have or be willing to achieve a good working knowledge of various QA systems and tools. 8D, 5whys analysis, 5s mythology, excellent visual awareness, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ultimately the quality technician will work to efficiently monitor the integrity and quality of products without impeding production rates.

  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS applications
  • Good organisational skills
  • High-level of visual awareness and detail
  • Ability to work alone with minimal supervision
  • Electrical safety awareness (Training can be provided for the right applicant)
  • Fault finding and analysis (Training can be provided for the right applicant)
  • Understanding of ERP systems (Training can be provided for the right applicant)
  • Experience with QA management system Qpulse (Training can be provided for the right applicant)


Annual Salary & Benefits: 

  • £20,000 - £24,000 dependant on experience
