About Mackwell

For the past five years, Nathan has been an integral part of the Mackwell Group, serving as Managing Director of Energy Lighting & Compliance (EL&C), the projects division of Mackwell Group. In this role, he successfully established the business, developed its UK strategy, and enhanced Mackwell’s projects presence within the UK market in both lighting & renewables markets. His contributions have been instrumental in driving group growth and innovation.

In addition to his achievements within the Mackwell Group, Nathan has held senior positions at leading companies such as Sylvania where he was UK General Manager and Rexel UK where he held various roles including Commercial Director, where he gained valuable experience in strategic leadership, market development, and operational excellence.

Nick joined Mackwell in 1991, having previously worked within the Electrical Wholsale sector. His initial years were spent developing the UK business, moving to Export Sales Manager in 1998 to set up and develop the companies international business. He was appointed as Sales Director of Mackwell in 2004 and in December 2011 he became the owner and Managing Director of Mackwell.  

Gary is an experienced, Commercial Accountant, working at board level for more than 20 years (since 2002) with a wide breadth of experience, in both large corporate and small SME organisations, and across many sectors of industry.  He joined the Mackwell Board in 2016.    , 

Neal joined Mackwell in April 2015 as IT Manager and was central in the transition to Mackwell’s new ERP system. He quickly took responsibility for Inventory and in Aug 2017 became Supply Chain Manager working closely with the previous Operations Director, Neil Eardley. He has as mathematics background and during 20 years working in Manufacturing SMEs in the midlands he’s used a data driven approach to the challenges within Operations.

Peter brings a wealth of experience gained from a successful career across several leading organisations in the electrical and energy sectors. His extensive background includes serving as Head of Energy Projects at Sylvania UK, Business Development Manager – Major Projects at NE Electrical, and 25+ years at Edmundson Electrical with 10 Years spent running one of the UKs largest Profit Centres, where he gained vast operational and commercial experience.

Richard joined Mackwell in 2001 and is responsible for our technical and systems development division. Richard is an expert in DALI and lighting control systems and represents Mackwell on many industry technical working groups.   

Mohammed Sufiyan is the newly appointed Managing Director for Mackwell META, bringing with him a bold vision to strengthen Mackwell’s legacy of innovation in emergency lighting. His appointment marks a strategic move to deepen Mackwell’s presence across the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, with a renewed focus on regional excellence, operational precision, and customer-centric innovation. With extensive knowledge of market dynamics, regulatory landscapes, and partner ecosystems, Sufiyan ensures Mackwell’s solutions are precisely aligned with regional requirements—backed by a strong local presence and a steadfast commitment to quality, compliance, and sustainability.

Sufiyan has held senior leadership positions with global industry leaders such as Honeywell, Eaton, and Teknoware, where he drove OEM partnerships, regional expansion, and business transformation across MENA and APAC. He has led the successful launch of several next-generation life safety solutions, redefining industry standards through innovation, performance, and intelligent integration. At Mackwell, he bridges global expertise with regional insight, delivering future-ready, scalable solutions that elevate life safety standards while empowering consultants, developers, and end users across the region.
